  1. professional websites???
does anyone have any links to professional websites where i can ask professionals about pregnancy?

  2. The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor about pregnancy related questions. They know your history better then anyone sitting on the other end of the computer.

You can try webmd.com for some questions that may be like yours where professionals have answered questions. Also you can find topics on babycenter.com

the best thing to do again, is to talk to your Dr. they know more about your body because they have actually done the testing and exams and can rule out somethings quicker because they have results.

    good luck

  3. Would you please tell me some professional steel structure websites worldwide?
i work in a research institute and sales department of one big steel structure company. i feel pressure of work, so i would like to know more and more major knowledg and broaden my eye in this field. Would you mind telling me some professional websites in the world? Thanks a lot.

  4. Where can I find examples of simple professional websites with little graphics?
I am trying to find examples of very simplistic websites for ideas on developing our company’s. I can’t find good examples of websites with very simplistic information such as location, about employees, and a small blurb on what the company is about. The graphics I am incorporating are minimal and no flash is involved so it’s hard to find a website similar to that. If anyone has info on places where I can see simple professional websites I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
The company I need this for is an Energy Trading company. We do not provide energy only trade it and need basically just a business card type website. It is more just a website to let people know who we are and a small bit of what we do, nothing more than that.

  5. Professional Websites?
I want to make a website that can look very professional (like yahoo.com, etc). I am not interested in those free websites that have cheap layouts, and I wanted to learn how to make websites myself.

Can someone guide me to a book that I can read, and how to actually start up a website. Should I buy a domain from sites like godaddy.com or is there some other way to start up.

I am new to this, but I want to learn. I would love some help!

  6. If you want to learn HTML, the best place to start (where I started, in fact) is
    http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/

They have tutorials on html, javascript, and stuff about css – which you could do with learning early on, as it makes layout a lot simpler.

A great page showing how powerful css can be is:
    http://www.csszengarden.com/

Apart from that, when you are surfing around and you come across a website that you like the look of, view the source code and see if you can work out how they did it. Don’t follow other people’s source code slavishly, just use it as additional learning material.

In the long term, php is a very useful addition to straight html and javascript – especially as there are many people who have javascript turned off in their browsers, but you can’t turn off php, as it runs on the server. This also makes it faster. Also it works with MySQL, the database management system most often provided. Another advantage is that people can’t actually see the php code (which could be doing nifty stuff you don’t want to give away) by viewing the source, as it is interpreted before the page is sent.

    Good books on php are:
PHP and MySQL for Dummies by Janat Valade, and
PHP and MySQL for Dynamic Web Sites by Larry Ullman

  7. Read graphic design books like The Graphic Design Cookbook (ISBN 0811831809, available at Amazon.com) for examples of clean, minimal layouts.

Since I don’t know what kind of company you have it’s hard to give you more advice than that – too few details in your question.

(Email me for some examples, if you like – some friends of mine have nice clean websites, but I don’t want to name them here.)

  8. What do I need to learn to make professional looking websites?
I’d like to learn how to make professional websites and maybe make it my profession where I can make money.

I know already a little bit of HTML and CSS but what next?
    Any help would be nice!
    Thanks!

  9. Get yourself some graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop.

This would be the route I suggest in creating a professional website.

    – Use Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator to create a mock up of what you want the site to look like. There are many books and online resources that can walk you through just about any photoshop task.

    – When your finished creating your mock up, you will need to slice and optimize it for the web.

    – Use Adobe Dreamweaver or some other page editing software to build the HTML/CSS around your Photoshop/Illustrator mock up.

KEEP IN MIND – This is a very general explanation for the process of creating professional looking websites.

When designing/coding a website for any company there are many factors in which you need to consider. I will list a few of the more important ones below:

Some basic questions to ask a potential client:

    – What does your company do? (their answer may surprise you)
    – Who is your target audience? (Retail?, Dealers?, Kids?, Adults?)
    – What do you expect from your company website? (To generate traffic?, to build brand awareness? To make sales?)

When meeting with a client try to ask more questions relative to their specific company or line of business. Avoid technical questions that they may not have answers for. You should be doing more listening than talking.

Also, learn about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). SEO can help just about any business attract more qualified customers to their website, blog, or even brick and mortar store.

I hope this information was helpful and good luck with any future business endeavors.

    Best regards.
