Photography Website Templates

When considering choosing photography website templates there are a few important factors to consider. It is no good having a website that is hard to use or just does not look any good to the user. This is why when choosing a template you must consider the functionality, cost, layout and additional features offered by each theme. By the end of this article you will be able to choose the best theme with all the right features and save yourself some money.

Functionality in your photography website templates

When choosing photography website templates this is the most important factor to get right. You want to make sure that the person using your site can find everything they want. Large or easily viewable menu bars so people can find your galleries and pages fast. A good gallery template will have a carousel type structure where the main picture is in focus with the next and previous photos veiwable as thumbnails. So you can see there are standard functionality features that all photography website templates should include, which brings us to the layout.

Layout can be the hardest thing to choose when trying to decide on a template. This is because no 2 templates are the same and the layout is different every time. From the colours to the placement of the photographs and links it is a very personal choice to the web designer on which layout is best. Some of the more successful photography sites all feature a rotating image section on the main page to showcase their new or best content on the site however. This grabs the users attention right away and showcases your important material right away. So find yourself a good layout that is pleasing to the eye, but what about the costc

Photography website templates : Free vs Paid

The free vs paid argument is never-ending. There are 2 types of templates you can get if you use wordpress to run your site. These are free and premium themes. When considering themes most people automatically think that the premium themes are the best. This is not always the case. There are over 1,400 free themes available on the wordpress website alone and some of them are absolutely fantastic. However if you decide to go with a premium theme you can expect top notch themes and on-going support should you have a problem with the theme. So keep your budget in mind when choosing your photography website templates and keep an eye out for great additional features.

There are some absolutely great additional features available for your templates if you know what to look for. Some of these include: galleries with automatic slideshows, random photo of the day, portfolio sections for user interaction and many more. It would take a long time to list all the additional features you can find in a good template but after youve looked at a few you will no doubt know which features you want and what is available.

So now you should have a good idea about what to look for, go out there and find yourself some great photography website templates today!

  1. Website Templates?
I was wondering if there is any place I can get free web templates for my googlepages website, and please include an explanation on how to install it. Also, is there any website that just allows you to copy a code and paste it into the HTML and the template is good to go.

    My website:

  2. Where can I find the best website templates for a business?
I am starting an event planning company and need to start a website on my own. I need templates and I am willing to pay well for them, I just need something with a flash intro, something that user friendly and easily customizable. Can you point me in the right direction?

  3. How do i make my own website templates on Google sites?
I know there is a way to make your own website templates on Google sites where you can create your own website, i’m sick of using someone else’s. How can i make my own?

My websites are under Google sites.

  4. Website templates?
I got this website template and I want to use it for my website but I do not know how to “upload” it or how to make it my own? meaning how can I make this website template run as my own website, I tried Yahoo Site Builder but I don’t know how to sort of transfer this template to Yahoo because I want to use my own template in designing my website with Yahoo??

  5. Go to File Manager there should be an upload files option once you get into it. File Manager, because that’s different than the Site Builder.

  6. Flash sucks. You can get a similar effect with jQuery, and without the disadvantages of Flash. (Five years ago I would have given you exactly the opposite advise. The web evolves.)

IMHO, the easiest way to get a quick site up and running is with WordPress 3.0. great themes for WordPress are available form Pagelines, ThemeForest, iThemes, PrimoThemes, Press75, to name just a few.

  7. website templates?
